This is a 1928 house with several major problems that needed to be fixed before we even started making it beautiful.
The foundation was a complete mess and all 75 piers needed to be replaced.
The roof still had original cedar shake under newer shingles. All of this needed to be ripped out and replaced.
It had its original knob and tube wiring which we completely updated along with the electrical panel.
In addition, most of the plumbing broke once the foundation was adjusted.
After all major issues were resolved, our budget was nearly depleted. We spent the next 3 months from dawn to dusk finishing the house. But the result was a stunning Tudor home with balance of classic charm and modern updates, exceeding everyone’s expectations.
